France counts 26.9 million Internet users, which represents nearly 55% of all French of 15 year and older. A year ago, that number was just 44%. Some demographics: 53% of Internet users are male, 47% female. One quarter is between 15 and 24 years old, another quarter between 25 and 34 years. Internet users of 50 years and older take up 22% of the total.
