Navel-staring in Kiev: Miss Ukraine misses out, Miss France takes the 100,000 euro prize home
Things are going well on the French beauty front: Miss France wins Miss Europe Contest
In case you didn’t know (or didn’t care to remember): last December’s Miss France elections made the headlines for their most daring innovation ever: for the first time in half a century candidates were allowed to show their bellybutton!
The girl with France’s best navel was Miss Languedoc Alexandra Rosenfeld, so she was sent to this weekend’s Miss Europe contest in the Ukranian capital Kiev.
And guess what: her bellybutton won again! Miss Ukraine may have been prettier, but with her navel fully covered she didn’t stand a chance.
Now France can look forward with optimism to the next contests: Miss Earth, Miss Globe, Miss Intercontinental, Mister International, Miss Universe, and Miss World. Alexandra’s navel will win them all!
