Not everybody is at odds with Iran: French illustrator’s works on display in Tehran
An exhibition of works by the French illustrator of children’s books Alain Bailhache opened in Iran this week.
The 69-year-old artist has become familiar with the Iranian literature, art, and culture during his teaching at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran since 39 years ago.
He has illustrated 22 books, most of which were written by himself in Iran.
Speaking at the opening gala, Bailhache said, “I have two eyes and two hands, one of them works for Iran and one for France. I also have two homelands.”
He hopes that his books make the Iranian and French children closer.
