Ethnically correct safety instructions?

Puzzling skin color changes in Africa:

French petrochemical company Total sells bottled gas to customers in Cameroon, Africa. I copied these images from a safety instructions leaflet, explaining how to use the bottles properly.

The one thing that puzzles me is the changing colors of the woman in the pictures.

In the first one, she’s brown, with white legs and one white arm. In the second, she’s all brown, except for her neck and legs, which are white. In the third, she has a white face, but her white left arm ends in a brown hand. In the remaining pictures (click the link below to see them all), body parts change color in even more different ways.

Is this the politically or ethnically correct way to depict women of different skin colors in Africa? It’s surely original!
