Forget the Road?

The latest advertising campaign for French national railway company [tag]SNCF[/tag] uses the slogan “Try it once and forget the road.

But who is their target group? Hells Angels, chauffeur-driven Miss Daisys and hitchhikers? This is as silly as can be.

But maybe I’m biased. In fifteen years I’ve tried French trains twice. The first time failed because they were on strike. The second time I was so afraid they would go on strike again that I left 24 hours early, so I wouldn’t miss an international flight.

Nice try, but just like bikers stick to their bikes, I stick to my car.
