Americans can buy toys you don’t find in France: Elite Force 1/6 Scale Figure Cpr Leon Javert French Foreign Legion
Originally created in 1831 by King Louis Phillipe II as a way to rid France of Immigrants and other “undesirables”, today’s Foreign Legion has evolved into an elite unit in the service of the French Army. Equipped and armed as the rest of the French Army they are primarily a rapid deployment force, with a strength of about 8,200 men.
But one reviewer on Amazon has these words of caution:
As a toy of this level of complexity and refinement is hardly meant to be roughly handled, this figure should be owned by children who is old enough to properly care for delicate items, or an adult collector.
At $34.99 it’s not a bestseller: Cpr Leon Javert ranks only #11,279 in Toys & Games
