Wrong name — banned from TV Game

islam1.jpgMeet Islam Alaouchiche, a 9-year old boy from the suburbs who was shortlisted for a game show on a French children’s channel, but then got rejected because he has the wrong name. According to the production company, the boy’s name “represented a religion that was not liked in France“. His parents, of Algerian descent, are now planning to sue the company for discrimination.

In the meantime, Christian, Christophe, Christine and Christianne all made it to the final round.
