This is getting too crazy for words: Coco Chanel movie poster banned.
After Jacques Tati’s pipe this is the next victim of France’s Loi Envin. The poster for the movie Coco avant Chanel (coming out today) has been banned from Paris metros and buses because it “indirectly promotes smoking”. For the second time in a week the French cinema world is fuming, and wants a more lenient application of the law. It’s unlikely a law change (if any) will become effective before the release of the next biopic of a famous Frogsmoker, Serge Gainsbourg.
For the record: this blog will not censor the Gallery of Certified Frogsmokers, in which Coco Chanel is prominently present:

Absolutely ridiculous!
