Lio (born Wanda Ribeiro de Vasconcelos, wiki) was a pop icon in France in the 1980s. Since then she’s mostly known for her appearances in TV shows and the odd attempt to return as a pop star. In both incarnations she seems to attract an audience (and a lot of press attention) by displaying her female attributes. On the popular French idol show Nouvelle Star she tends to appear in revealingly transparent outfits:

Lio is 47 years today, and a mother of six children, aged between 22 and 6. I’m not quite sure what to think of her.

What a shame! The sole reason her music was so charming back in the 1980′s, was because of her ‘innocent’ girlish image, wich she obviously has trown completely overboard.
I’m glad Kate Bush is one of my female 1980′s idols who does succeed in keeping up a more dignified way of living.
