Interesting legal dilemma: confessed killer declared not responsible for his acts, but allowed to inherit his parents’ money
A man from the south of the country committed a double murder in 2000 by slitting his parents’ throats with a knife. Psychiatrists declared him insane and hence not responsible for his acts. The verdict: not guilty. With a blank criminal record, he was sent to a mental institution for psychiatric treatment. Now, nine years later he claims his part of the inheritance, and a judge has agreed with his request because the man was not convicted of murder, and is deemed capable of managing his own money. His one year older brother does obviously not agree and is appealing the ruling, but has no real hope that he will win the case.
Have some compassion. The kid’s an orphan!
The Scots would have sent him to Libya.
