There isn’t a lot happening in France these days, so I’m taking it easy today. Here are some pics and stories you may want to know more about.
The man who isn’t – or is she?
This is Delphine Ravisé-Giard, a 15-year veteran of the French Air Force. Two years ago she was still a man, now she is generally (but not legally) accepted as a female soldier. She took the hormones to make her look like a woman but didn’t take the steps to change her appearance below the belt. Mother and daughter
These are Jane Birkin and Charlotte Gainsbourg. It’s obvious that one of them doesn’t understand the concept of smoking. I found this photo (by Jean-Baptiste Mondino) in a 2.5 year old article in Vanity Fair. Charlotte talks about her dad: The Secret World of Serge Gainsbourg.
Talking about a revolution …

Don’t ask me what’s happening here. Half a dozen undressed youngsters walked through Paris, chanting something unintelligible. Their cameraman was clearly an amateur who failed to focus properly at the critical moment.
The Liberator (final episode)
This photo was taken just minutes after Nick Sarko hammered the Berlin wall down. I promise this is the last word about the affair.
