The little town of Vendargues in the south of France does what the big guys in Copenhagen couldn’t: reduce their carbon footprint.
Since last week household waste gets collected by a five year old horse named Quignon. At this moment only some 600 homes are served, but more horses will be drafted in the near future. And it doesn’t stop there. The mayor also promises to buy a horse to water the town’s green zones, and later a hippobus will come into service to transport local school kids to the gym.
