Who’s that girl? — The answer

That wasn’t too difficult, was it?

Twenty-four years separate these two pictures of Emmanuelle Béart. Shown left is 22-year old Emmanuelle in the movie Manon des Sources, which launched her career in 1986, playing opposite Yves Montand. For her performance she won the 1987 César Award for “Best Supporting Actress”. On the right is Béart in 2010, over forty films and many awards later, aged 46, and a trout pout richer.

Béart’s most famous performance was probably not in a film. In 2003 she appeared on the cover of French ladies’ magazine Elle, aged 39. It is still the magazine’s biggest-selling issue ever.
