Aviator Talk

aviators.jpg
One is a real aviator. One just wears them.

Meet the men who are making the world a safer place.

On your left Nick Sarkozy who pledged to cut the number of French nuclear weapons to half its Cold War level, in other words less than 300. He didn’t say that France currently has only 350 warheads. Even with this reduction, France would still have more warheads than all nuclear powers except the US and Russia, and perhaps China. (Source: Sarkozy the American.)

On your right John McCain who thinks the USA is doing a great job in the sand and that it would be fine with him “if we maintain a presence in Iraq for a hundred years”.

What else did they talk about yesterday? Airplanes of course. Nick has only a few lousy Airbus A319s and a handful of Falcons at his disposal. Look what ex-pilot John brings with him next time he comes to France. That’s more bling than a French prez can dream of:

John McCain doesn’t bring that much with him, and if we have anything to say about it, he won’t.

That’s the retinue for a sitting president, not wannabe fascist McCain.

Who’s ‘we’? The Dems are in some sort of murder/suicide pact at the moment! ;-)

P.S. I think McCain will get two new “Marine One’s. (Oddly enough, much like the EADS/Boeing dispute, those contracts went to a British & Italian consortium rather than Sikorsky when Tony Blair was PM.) AFO is given a complete makeover for each new president and two new planes (usually) every other President.

It’d be interesting to see the evolution of that force over time.
