Notre Dame as seen by a 14-year old

notre dame wiltshire.jpg

wiltshire.jpgStephen Wiltshire is a British-born autistic savant with an incredible talent for architectural drawing. He can look at a building for a few seconds, and then draw it without looking back. In May 2005 Stephen produced his longest ever panoramic memory drawing of Tokyo on a 10-meter long canvas within seven days following a short helicopter ride over the city.

The drawing shown above is his interpretation of Notre Dame in Paris. He drew it in 1988, when he was just 14 years old. You can discover many more of his creations on his website.

Today, his works are exhibited all over the world and are sold for large amounts. The Notre Dame drawing is currently for sale at £ 42,500 (€ 53,000, $ 83,000).
