For Nature Every Day is 9/11

Controversial? Yes. Effective? Maybe… (Click image to enlarge)

This poster was created by the Fondation Nicolas Hulot, a French environmental network, set up by Nicolas Hulot.

For a while, it looked like Hulot could be one of the possible presidential candidates, but yesterday he withdrew from the race.

Hulot had decided not to run because most of the other candidates have backed his 10-point “Ecology Pact” which he published in November.

The pact, which has been signed by nearly half a million people, calls for a carbon tax on fuel emissions, and a new government post of deputy prime minister in charge of the environment.

While Hulot was pondering his candidacy, the 9/11 poster was considered too controversial and agressive. Now that he’s out of the presidential race, it’s apparently safe to get the message out.

I’m not sure it’ll go down too well in circles where the 9/11 emotions are still running high.
