Not cheap to live here, but the views are priceless.

Each year, Mercer Human Resource Consulting issues a Cost of Living Survey, which compares the cost of living in major world cities.

The indices are based on the cost of living in New York (=100). Paris ranks this year #13, with an index of 101.4. This is up two places; last year the Paris index was still 93.1.

The most expensive city is now Moscow (134.4), followed by London (126.3). Other European cities scoring higher than Paris are Copenhagen (110.2), Geneva (109.8), Zurich (107.6), Oslo (105.8), Milan (104.4), and St. Petersburg (103).

Within Europe, Prague is the cheapest city to live in: 85.6.
