A drug trafficker in the central French town of Millau thought he had found the perfect hiding place for his cannabis: behind a bush.
Little did he know that the bush was in the same place where a local gendarme, member of the narcotics brigade, walks his sniffer dog every morning.
Even off-duty, the canine crimebuster knew what was hidden in the plastic bag: 300 grams of cannabis resin.
The 29-year old drug dealer is now spending 15 months behind bars, probably barking mad with anger.
