Meet Laura Tanguy, the 19-year old who will defend France at the Miss World pageant.

She replaces the double-crossed tropical yogurt eater Valérie Bègue, who was considered too naughty to represent France.

Laura is 1m79 (5’9″) tall and her vital statistics are 89-60-92 (35-24-36). According to this revealing interview she has three embarrassing faults: an appendix scar and two large feet.

But in the eyes of the arch-conservative Miss France organisation she has one major asset: she’s white.
