   It isnt a statue but was a publicity stunt for photographers in 1956
   It was made to look like the DS was floating on water there were many space age connotations to their advertising at the time of this design icon
   The original photo doesnt show the post supports so the tide must have gone out
   I own 2 of these beautiful cars
