Meet the new pig squeal champion

The French may suck at soccer but they’re good in other sports: pig squealing

Noël Jamet from Normandy has become the new champion of the annual Pig Squeal contest in the town of Milizac (west France) this weekend. He offered by far the best rendition of the dernier cri by a pig being taken to the slaughterhouse. Appropriately dressed in a pink outfit, with a corkscrew tail and two rows of fake nipples, Noël beat twenty other candidates, including a 10-year old boy who came second. It must be said that Noël was in an advantaged position: he has been training for seven years and has been the undisputed world champion for three successive years. He’s also good at imitating donkeys, peacocks and turkeys, but there are no contests in those art forms.
