Bouguereau du Jour (44)

Side by side: Boyd Coddington and Le Captif. Click image to see photoshopped version full size.
Today’s Bouguereau rip-off comes from FreakingNews. This photoshopped version is based on William Bouguereau’s original 1891 work Le Captif (The Prisoner, view original). It was the third-prize winning entry in the “News in Pictures” contest, dedicated to news that made the headlines last week. The image depicts Boyd Coddington, 63, famous hot rod builder and designer who died last Wednesday.

I suppose it’s a matter of taste. I had a poll in December in which 83% of Frogsmokers wanted to keep them.
