On the (British) Telegraph: The truth behind French clichés

We have a funny relationship with our neighbours across the Channel.

Admiration and annoyance flow in equal measure, as do the clichés about our partners in the “Entente cordiale”.

So how much substance is there to the stereotypes? We ask if the cliché-wielders are committing a faux pas - or do the perceptions have a certain je ne sais quoi?
